5 Ideas By my Discipleship ai

1. The "Crisis Consulting" Model (Solving Problems)

Think about a crisis you have personally overcome. Did you survive a period of homelessness? Did you navigate a difficult financial season? Did you find a way to stay spiritually vibrant while working a soul-crushing job?

  • The Idea: Create a service or resource that helps others navigate that specific crisis.

  • Scripture: “He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.” (2 Corinthians 1:4). Your greatest mess can become your greatest ministry—and a viable business.

2. The "Ecology of Encouragement" Model (Creative Strategy)

Look at the artists, creators, or small business owners in your community. Often, they have the talent but lack the structure or the "wind in their sails" to keep going.

  • The Idea: A supportive agency (similar to what we do with Ivory Sky Records). This could be digital marketing for local churches, administrative support for non-profits, or a "strategy hub" for creative people who feel stuck. You become the "encourager-in-chief" for their vision.

3. The "Practical Stewardship" Model (Filling the Gap)

In the "Prophecies of Jesus Seminar," we talk about being grounded. What is a practical, physical need in your neighborhood that is being ignored?

  • The Idea: Look for "low-entry, high-impact" services. It could be a mobile car detailing service that employs people looking for a second chance, or a community garden project that sells produce while teaching discipleship.

A Prophetic Exercise for You:

Before you look at spreadsheets, I want you to spend 10 minutes in meditative listening.

  • Ask the Holy Spirit: "Lord, what is a problem in my city that breaks Your heart?"

  • Ask: "What is a skill you have given me that feels like 'play' to me but looks like 'work' to others?"

  • Write down the first three things that come to mind. Don't judge them yet.

Tell me a little bit about your background—what are you passionate about? What do you love to do for God? If you give me a few clues about your skills, we can narrow this down together and find the specific "gold" God wants you to mine!
